AI-powered solutions to navigate and access Korea's startup funding programs
The K-Startup Grand Challenge (KSGC) is Korea's flagship government-backed accelerator program for foreign startups looking to enter, incorporate, and scale-up in the Korean market.
Inaugurated in 2016, the program is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), organized by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), and operated by the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (GCCEI).
Stating in 2026, KSGC has incorporated a new program track specifically for international students studying in Korea. The goal of this dedicated track is to provide hands-on support for international students to strengthen execution, investor readiness, and market entry for their business ideas. International and Korean students are encouraged to apply as a team, but must meet <u>all</u> of the following requirements:
Priority is given to startup ideas in emerging industry startup sectors, including AI, biotech, fintech, and smart manufacturing. Initial applications require a pitch deck, with additional documentation requested at later stages.

Similar to the KSGC Main Track, applicants of the International Student Track are able to participate through a hybrid format.
The 5-month International Student program is divided into three phases: Business Plan Development Training, Entrepreneurship Training and Mentoring, and Support for Outstanding Teams.
The total ₩14 million KRW prize money is divided among the three teams.
Applications will evaluated on how well the business plan addresses five main categories: Problem Recognition; Feasibility & Differentiation; Korea Market Entry Plan; and Team Competency.
